Due to lack of space and time (need to move out shortly) I'm selling both of my DDR cars separately. Here we go Wartburg: Wartburg 1.3 Saloon 1991, 96000km - fully driveable. The car came from Poland on own wheels and I've done some 2-3k mls with her in the UK. Mechanically ok, still drive her from time to time, although one may expect the clutch is about to finish (engages at the very top). The bodywork needs a solid TLC, virtually no rust but small dents and scratches all around, with patches of prirmer everywhere from previous owners' attempts to preserve the original paint. Still on PL plates with all PL documents present, shouldn't be a problem to register in the UK. This model is quite rare comparing to its two stroke predecessor: just 150 thousand of Wartburg 1.3 have been made comparing to 1.4 million of 2-stroke 353 model. The Wartburg is one of the last manufactured, with factory fitted Opel "recaro" seats. Definitely worth to be preserved. For reasons stated above I'm open to any reasonable offers including swap for anything "more popular" (car, mototrbike or van). The list price is very close to what I paid for the vehicle, parts and cost of bringing her to the UK. I have full access to the brand new and second hand spares to all Eastern European vehicles, including this on the offer.
