This car is a well-known UR quattro within the Audi quattro Owners Club and has been displayed at many Classic Car shows over the last 16 years by the current owner. The car won Best Audi quattro at the Tatton Park Classic Car Show in 2007. The current owner has held the position of Area Organiser for the Audi quattro Owners Club (Cheshire & Staffordshire) for many years in the past. The car has only been used for pleasure mileage and never been subjected to track day activities. 219055 miles, The current owner has personally covered just over 60,000 very reliable miles during his ownership (averaging only 4000 miles per year). Stunning Car and much admired wherever it goes. This 20 valve (220 bhp) version was the last variant of the quattro produced by Audi for only 3 years (1989 1991) and far rarer and more collectable than the 10 valve (200 bhp) version which were previously produced for 9 years (1980 1989). This particular car would have been in one of the very first batches of the 20 valve cars delivered to the UK in 1989. Being finished in the iconic Audi Pearlescent White shows off the lines of the powerful stance of the UR Quattro extremely well. The pearlescent paintwork was a £1000 extra when these cars were new. Exterior Trim and Spec 215-50-15 Dunlop tyres fill the wheel arches. These are the correct factory specification for the quattro. All tyres are in good condition with plenty of tread. The bodywork and interior is factory specification as one would find in the 20v brochure of 1989. The seating and interior is trimmed in Jacquard satin cloth combined with leather trim across the seats, dashboard, centre console and around the interior. Apart from bodywork preservation maintenance, the car is standard. In 2005 the bodywork and original Ronal alloy wheels, had a full professional re-spray. The paint has had sympathetic touch ups by the same paint and body shop, from time to time, since then. Other trim includes Drivers Seat height adjuster, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows, Central Locking, Manual Tilting Sunroof (which can be removed and stored the boot if required), Computer, Front Fog Lights, Headlamp Wash, Digital Instrument Display, Leather Sports Steering Wheel (made by Personal), Heated Front Seats, ABS, CD/Radio and Electric Aerial. There has never had the need to strip down the engine, however, the valve guide seals were replaced in 2004. A rebuild of the turbo was carried out in 2005. Most ancillaries have been replaced over the years. More recently during 2017 £2000 was spent on maintenance activities including, timing belt, water pump, starter motor, main radiator re-cored, auxiliary radiator re-cored, including new radiator mounts, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, auxiliary electrical water pump, engine breather pipe, front brake flexibles, front ball joint, spark plugs, oil and filter change plus air filter. Receipts are available for all the above work. During current ownership the car has been serviced annually or every 6000 miles. Work was carried out by an independent performance car garage or quattro specialist. Servicing has been carried out irrespective of how little miles the car had done that year. It has no engine upgrades or modifications. The cars security is provided by a Cat 1 Scorpion Alarm fitted at the Scorpion Factory. The car comes with many invoices of parts / work carried out over the last 16 years of ownership and beyond. The exhaust is a Milltek stainless steel exhaust fitted by AM Cars (an Audi Quattro specialist). The last MOT test was passed in December 2017 and will be renewed for new owner.
