1981 FIAT 124 Spider 2000 twin cam. USA spec LHD manual. One of the last 124 Spiders made by Pininfarina This is a 2 owner car that has been garaged all of its life. The body is rust free and underneath the original paint is beneath the now peeling underseal. The door bottoms have no signs of rust as shown in the photos. The car starts first time and pulls strongly with no smoke from the exhaust. The 5 speed gearbox changes smoothly and without noise or clunks. The engine ticks over very quietly when warm. The interior is in excellent condition, the dashboard is not cracked (unusual) and the leather seats have no marks or splits (more unusual!). There is some peeling to the plastic surround on the centre console at the side of the driver's seat. The roof fits well and is in very good condition, it is water tight and taught. Alloy wheels are original and in good condition, the centre caps are missing. The paintwork is generally very good for 39yrs, however the offside wing has a bare patch and a small amount of waving, see picture. There is a little evidence of over-polishing in places. I will put 12 months MoT on the car, all import documents are in place to register the car, all taxes paid and NOVA issued. This is not a restoration project, its ready to go. I have tried to be as accurate as I can describing the car, any inspection welcome. I am 5 minutes from J35 of the M1 near Sheffield.
