
These cars are highly underated in our opinion, being very rare and having endured a successful rallying career. They are a fabulous drive. Nut & Bolt restored to an obsessive standard by a dedicated and talented enthusiast around 1000 miles ago ( The best cars always are ,as time isn't charged), and has just completed a careful 1000 miles since. There is a huge file of invoices,and a full pictoral record of the work carried out. Here are some brief details of the restoration: The car has stripped down to the shell then dipped to remove all paint sealer etc. All rust was cut out and fresh metal welded in and new panels were possible. New inner and outer sill, rear quarter panels. Doors, bulk head, battery tray,inner wing, floors, boot floor,all replaced or repaired. Shell underside and inside etched primed, undercoated stone chipped , more undercoat. again, top coated, lacquered. Shell out side etched primed, undercoated, top coat, lacquered, all in the car has had about 16 coats. Engine Rebuild with new standard liners and the right 2.3 HS pistons (not the standard.3 single cam pistons, cost £1000 alone). Lightened and balanced.
