Here we have my classic Morris mini mk3 for sale which is tax and mot exempt and one of the more desirable 3 dial mini's,this car was registerd on the 14th of January 1975 in trentham stoke on Trent and had the one lady owner up until 2014.The car itself was used rarely only covering just over 27,000 miles until it was put away in a barn in 1991 where it stayed until 2014 when the previous owner who was a classic car restorer and lived in trentham bought it,by this time even though the car had been stood in a barn it wasn't in the best of shape. The car underwent a full restoration to a very high standard which took almost 2 years to complete and included new front wings, front panel, sills, all rotten metal cut out(which wasn't much most is still original including the boot floor which hasn't been welded) and replaced with new ,new subframes, complete overhaul of the 998cc engine, new suspension components, all perishable items that required replacing, full brake overhaul and a full bare metal respray inside and out including the engine bay while the engine was removed, during this time the car had a colour change from its original orange to British racing green with white roof white stripes on the bonnet(which are painted on not decals) mini cooper decals and genuine mini revolution 10 inch alloy wheels to give the car a more modern look still keeping the almost original interior. The seats are original and in excellent condition with just a couple of marks on the rear seat backrest, the door cards are original as is the roof lining. The previous owner intended to keep the car but due to family commitments it had to go but during the time he had it on the road the car did very little mileage. I bought the mini in june and had it transported up to filey, once in my possession i took it to my friend who used to own a genuine 1960's mini cooper s of which he used to compete in rallies all over the world,he kept the car for a month in which time all the brightwork was replaced, brand new carpet and underlay, new boot lid board, coolant system drained cleaned and replaced with evans waterless coolant, engine oil and filter change, carb gaskets, air filter, full engine tune up,tappets reset, new front brake shoes, drums and cylinders(mainly down to brake judder),clutch cylinder seals, two new rear tyres and various other cosmetic things.all these parts were replaced with mostly genuine mini. The car drives excellent and is quite happy doing 60mph and sounds great with the cooper exhaust fitted,it picks up and goes through the gears fine and runs very clean with no blue smoke on start up or when the engine is warm. This car is in near mint condition and is as clean underneath as on top,it turns a lot of heads and attracts plenty of interest at classic car shows it also won me 3rd prize at a concourse rally in September. Genuine buyers only vewings can be arranged no timewasters or tyre kickers
