A California car recently imported and now UK registered and Mot'd . The car is remarkably rust free and remains almost completely original not having been subject to any restoration. The car being a Californian car had suffered deterioration of the paint on the bonnet and roof as a result of sun damage, these areas have been resprayed to a high standard and the car presents extremely well. A full mechanical recommissioning has been carried out since arrival in the UK, the original Hitachi carbs have been rebuilt with overhaul kits and the car starts easily both hot and cold. Oil pressure is good being over 50 psi when running at all times and the temperature does not rise above halfway. The car has just completed a 120 mile round trip without any issues whatsoever. The car drives extremely well with very good brakes and no untoward noises, the engine pulling strongly and the 4 speed gearbox a delight. The speedometer shows a reading approx. 35K miles and there is a California odometer statement confirming this to be correct. The interior of the car is in extremely good order and original , the original radio remains and the rear carpet is also the original. Given the short production life of the 260Z these cars are rare anyway and the excellent unrestored and rust free condition of this one makes it an extremely rare example of this appreciating classic.
