Hi, this is my 1973 Mk2 Stag - it was actually built in late 1972 but registered in 1973 so guess this makes it an very early Mk2 Stag. Selling in time for the summer and then do some winter jobs to it ready for next year. Expecting the tax bill from hell and a kitchen project has just gone over budget so it is time to pass on to someone else. Overall this is in good condition but there are some jobs that could be done to take this to the next level - please bear inmind that I have priced this to reflect the condition the car is in - looking elsewhere on ebay most of the cars are somewhere between 1.5 and 2 times the price I am asking so a good starting point if you want to get this car up to that sort of level. I will start with the good bits: Still the original engine - getting to the point where it needs a service - had a major re-build about 2k miles ago - copy of receipt in photos - also just put a new alternator on it and had the radiator repaired and pressure tested - pulls really well Original Mk2 Alloy wheels - including a spare alloy wheel Drives really well with no rattles or shakes - everything works as it should including kickdown All electrics working fine Solid body work with some minor imperfections Rear seatbelts fitted Radio/CD player and changer Immobiliser fitted Kenlowe fan installed which works when the switch is operated but never used in anger as there are no overheating issues Extensive documented history - an A4 lever arch file full of receipts and history - including the original service record And in the interests of being honest so you don't have a wasted journey, the not so good bits: Front seats could do with a re-trim - rear seats are fine There is a small hole in the boot floor which could do with patching up - this is the only bodywork issue I am aware of - there has been some welding done underneath and the rest of the floors are solid There are a couple of small holes in the hood which have been caused by a previous owner not being too careful when operating the hood catches - and the frame is broken at the front right hand corner - still works fine though I have had the car about 2 years now, prior to my ownership is was stored long term in a heated garage as part of a collection, during my ownership it has only ever been out in the dry and is kept in a secure garage. Overall a good useable car which gets plenty of positive comments whenever I go out in it which can be used as is or with some work taken to the next level. We are in Lytham St.Annes, please contact me either by phone or email if you would like to see the car
