
1941 buick 44c special convertible Coupe, 4.0 straight eight engine, manual shift three on the tree, mot and tax exempt, its only had two owners from new in the u.s, recently fully serviced, cruises very nice and smooth, its a fantastic looking car and a real head turner, hasnt been to any shows in the uk at all, imported / Purchased in USA dec 2014 landed in uk 2015 This is one of only 12000 made so its very rare and likely to be the only one or two in Europe being the shorter wheelbase 2 door coupe convertible. This was a big favourite with the custom guys in the 50's as when the top is up it has that Carson topped look. Also has many replacement parts still boxed up including a rare set of rear fender speed spears A quick summary of main points- Rust Free desert state / New Mexico car Body has been resprayed in the u.s in modern 2 pack material, the finish is very good and rust free being a New Mexico dry state car. the under body looks to be all original with no patching/welding, chassis very good, floors excellent and original. Engine- Runs beautifully, just fully serviced, compression checked and all as it should be and even Gearbox- three speed manual, shifts well and all working as it should be, clutch is good, rear axle is quiet Brakes- Just gone through and all working well Interior- Seats, carpets and door cards have been recently re-done in the USA and look great with no wear, Hood- power hood, works well going up and down, the white fabric Hood is in very nice condition being a recent replacement in the USA
