This Panther Lima was manufactured on 12th November 1977, and remained with its original owner until sold to us for restoration in 2010. Car was stripped to the bare chassis, and following blasting and repairs was re-built over a 4 year process. Original engine was retained, head skimmed (takes unleaded) new main bearings and a pair of SU carbs fitted. Ford 5 speed box and prop balanced and fitted with new uj's. Spax adjustable shocks all round and new front springs. New lighting all round with chrome style headlamps. Interior re-trimmed and new carpets fitted. New hood and tonneau. This is not an exhaustive list of work done, but covers all of the key elements. Less that 1000 miles since re-build. Agreed insurance value £12000, but the car would benefit from the wings re-spraying , so available at a fraction of the restoration cost at £10,500.
