Mk6 Davrian built and raced in modsports with significant race history. Initially raced by John Kirk from 1974 in Scotland. Runner up in 1976 modsports championship. In 1977 season won it's class every time out and quite often won outright. During Kirk's ownership visited Croft and won. It also on occasions raced in three different categories in one day running 850, 998 and 1150 cc engines. Went on to be raced succesfully by Angus Young in Agra colours for both circuit and hillclimb. The car was constantly updated throughout it's race career and current specification includes: Rolling chassis with no engine or gearbox All round fabricated wishbones Historic Girling 2 pot callipers all round Davrian disc brakes all round Highly adjustable bias pedal box Converted to coil over shocks all-round Spax shocks on rear and Koni big body on front Built in roll cage (not current spec) Twin fuel tanks Twin SU fuel pumps Front rad and ducting Rear wing mounted oil cooler 13 x 8" and 13 x 10" revolution wheels Front and rear anti roll bars Current condition is that the car needs restoration work mainly to the body. The car has been overpainted a lot and had filler applied. The majority of this has been removed, see photos. There are a number of chips in the resin that will need to be filled and then painted. The rear near side wing has been smashed along with part of the rear body. There is a replacement new rear wing that will need cutting to size and fitting. There is some damage to the front and rear removeable body sections. The rear engine A frame is currently off it but comes with it. Internally the car will need new seatbelts and fire extinguisher system. New brake lines have been fitted. Calipers will need a rebuild but externally look good. The shocks have not been looked at. Doors have been stripped but are all there. A number of the parts were rebuilt a few years ago incl m/cyls, pedal box, wiring loom etc... but I would recommend double checking these as the car has been sat for a while.
