I have reluctantly decided to try and sell my rare Daihatsu Domino. I purchased the car in April 2015, I have enjoyed the ownership very much. The car has proved to be brilliant in every way. It is extremely reliable, very economical, comfortable and nippy. The engine is a 3 cylinder, 846cc, and would have been the height of Japans technology back in 1986! The main reason for selling the car is I have other vehicles which need further attention, and unfortunately I cannot get to use all of them (as much as I 'd like to) I have recently taken the car for an MOT inwhich it sadly failed. Reason for MOT failure: Brake inbalance on the back axle. I was told this was possibly due to a sticking wheel cylinder. I have purchased two new rear wheel cylinders for this, these would be included in the sale. There would also be a set of rear brake shoes also included (if required) The car itself has got some other issues which would need sorting, these however do not restrict the cars use in any way. The issues are: Exhaust: Blow from front pipe (where it meets the manifold) its not too bad but would need sorting Drivers side headlamp: Cracked across width. Headlamp still works fine. (this is not an MOT failure) Passenger door lock: Lock damaged due to vandalism (this was done before I purchased the car (the door is still lockable from inside and can be opened from inside and outside. (this is not an MOT failure) Radiator: Would benefit from being reconditioned. Slight leak. Spare wheel: (one not present when purchased) The car always starts first time, with a little manual choke, although sometimes it turns over slowly and then starts. Not sure why this is, maybe a lazy starter motor? this has never bothered me, its never been a problem. Everything else works as it should on the car. The layout inside is very basic as you would expect. There is no damage to the seats or door cards etc. The seatbeats all work fine, including the rear belts. The car has 5 gears, power steering and a rev counter! There is no radio, but there is provision for one as there is an external aerial fitted. Exterior: The paintwork is original, although abit flat. Ideally would benefit from a good buff and polish. There are small areas around the body that will need attention shortly, none of these areas have been touched up / bodged / covered over or filled, they have been left so the new potential owner can see exactly what needs to be done. There are also some small dinks and scuffs around the bodywork, again, all of which could be sorted quite easily. Overall, it is a very well presented old car which bearing in mind, is now approaching 32 years old. Interior: The car interior is all very original, the seats are all in good condition, the door cards, handles, trim etc are all in good condition as well. The rear tailgate lifts and holds OK, struts work fine. The back seats fold down flat to create a useful carrying capacity. There is a release catch for the tailgate inside the car. It looks as if it has been well cared for in its lifetime. You are welcome (and encouraged) to view the car, please bear in mind it is now almost 32 years old, and therefore, does need some work / TLC although still very presentable to use as it is. The description given above is a true reflection of the current vehicle condition overall, however, this is only my own opinion as we all know everyone's opinion is different, so on that basis, no guarantees or warranties will be offered or implied. Please note, the car is now an old car, therefore, it is not a new car fitted with all the mod cons and fancy gadgets.
