If you Google Bob Burrell Edison Electric Car you can read about this rare car. I first heard about it in the 1950s where it was languishing behind a garage on the North circular road around London. It was rescued and put in dry storage for the next 50 years when I brought the car into my Workshop for restoration. It was originally built in Duke Street London Circa 1912.( See the chassis plate) by Thomas Edison with co-operation by the Scottish Car maker ARROL JOHNSON. Reference is made on page 52 of the book The Complete Encyclopaedia of Motorcars 1985-1968. by GN GEORGANO. I spent 10 years rebuilding and recommisioning the car using all the original parts I had, making sure nothing of the original UNIQUE car was destroyed. I have driven the car around the farm here and on the country lanes in absolute silence. The batteries have huge capacity and i have never found out how far they would go but i estimate a very long way. All the interior trim is original and unrestored and the body builders plate is still on the car and reads OFFORD and SONS Ltd. MOTOR CARRAGE BUILDERS.67 GEORGE Street.PORTMAN SQUARE.and at SOUTH KENSINGTON.
