This is a remarkable survivor. Due to the poor quality steel back in the 1970's most of these Daihatsus rusted away. This 1.6 petrol example however, remains in excellent original condition. The previous owner informed me it had spent most of its life on a private estate where it rarely ventured out on to the public roads. Mileage is showing under 12,000 which I cannot verify but could well be correct. It has been resprayed but other than that it is as it rolled out of the factory with the original seats, switches, carpets. I even think the tyres could be original ! MOT has just expired and it will require a new back silencer box which is proving difficult to source. Everything works as it should, including the 4WD system and High / Low range gears. Starts and drives really well.
